Vizus Project – Scientific-research center SKOLKOVO

The layout of the building is circular, having a diameter of 280m, conceived as a set of annular and rectangular forms, and it accommodates space intended for two basic functions: science and research. The areas planned for the scientific activities are located in the annular parts of the building, while the areas devoted to the research work are located in the rectangular parts of the building.
These two areas were made distinct both by form, and by the utilization of different materials, so the ringlike part of the structure is dominated by the wood, both in the interior and the exterior. Arc facades of annular forms were formed from a series of aluminum-wood windows manufactured in the Vizus Pasiv AT system.
